Mrs. Martha Ann (Flemons)Carlton, age 80, of Adairsville, passed away Friday, June 2, 2023.

Martha was born in Atlanta, Georgia, June 23, 1942, daughter of the late Ida Ophelia (Reeves) Flemons and Grover Cleveland Flemons. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Albert Melvin "Buddy" Flemons. She was of the Baptist faith and member of Buice Memorial Baptist Church. Over the years Martha wore many hats, she was a stewardess for Southern Airlines, owned and operated Ace Hardware with her husband, Tom, president of the Calhoun Bowling League, member of the zoning board and the one she was most proud of was being a mother and grandmother. Martha was always active in her children's athletic teams and served as president of the Tiger Club for numerous years. When her grandchildren came along that love and support picked right back up, never missing a game. She loved being a wife, mother, and even more a grandmother. Her memory will live forever in their hearts.

Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Thomas Edwin Carlton, Sr.; children, Thomas Edwin Carlton, Jr. and wife Tabatha, Robert Michael Carlton and wife Renae, and Brian Wesley Carlton and wife Katie; grandchildren, Taylor, Tess, and Tarryn Carlton, Trevor (Ashlyn) and Tristan Carlton, and Ashlyn and Camden Carlton; great-grandchildren, Colt and Cash Carlton; brother, Robert "Bobby" Flemons and wife, Derenda; sister, Linda Flemons; sister-in-law, Brenda Flemons and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 1:00PM from Cedar Creek Baptist Church, Adairsville with Rev. Jether Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Trevor Carlton, Tristan Carlton, Camden Carlton, Justin Flemons, Travis Flemons, and Dawson Flemons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00PM until 1:00PM at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 54 Folsom Road, NE, Adairsville, GA 30103.
