Mrs. Martha Mae Morris James , age 94 , o f Adairsville , passed away Wednesday May 11, 2022, at Pruitt Health, Rome.

She was born in Kingston , Georgia , August 3, 1927 , to the late James Claude "J. C." Morris and Lucy Mae Ghorley Morris. S he was a member of Stoner Chapel Baptist Church. Mae loved her family and being together. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and working with flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Theodore James; brothers, J. C. Morris, Earl Morris, Albert Morris and Clarence Morris; sisters, Laura Morris Brewer, Ruby Morris Heath, Kathryn Morris Ghorley, Janie Lou Morris Gattlin, and Joanne Morris Ferguson.

Survivors include her daughter, Martha Ann and Glenn Pratt; grandsons Dwight and Sandra Pratt and Tony Pratt; special nephew, David Ferguson .

Funeral service will be held Satur day, May 14 , 202 2 , at 3 : 3 0 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with R ev. Junior Maney officiating . Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville . P allbearers will be Dwight Pratt, Tony Pratt, Jason Parker, and Shane Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be David Ferguson, Raiden Parker, and Herman Cline.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
