Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Baker, age 69, of Kingston, GA passed away Friday night, May 16, 2014 at Floyd Medical Center, Rome. Mrs. Baker was a loving mother to her family as well as many others and was known affectionately to many as "Aunt Liz".

Mrs. Baker was born in Bartow County, June 30, 1944 daughter of the late Ray Hale and Christine Morris Hale. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Johnny Baker in 1998; 2 brothers, Donald Hale and Fred Hames; and a sister, Tammy Neal. She was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church, Rome.

Survivors include her husband, John Wesley Baker of Kingston; son and daughter-in-law, Marty and DeAndra Baker of Cartersville; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah (Sissy) and Don Jenkins of Kingston; daughter-in-law, Misty Jackson Baker of Adairsville; sister, Pat Kelly; brother Eddie Hale; grandchildren, Kristi (John) Culver, Holly Baker (Alex) Coker, Mitchell Jenkins, Aliza Baker, and Bryce Baker; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Owen, and Weston Culver, and Cade Baker; special nephew, Kevin Hale.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 19, at 1:00 pm at the historical chapel of Barton Funeral Home on the hill, Adairsville, with Rev. David Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Kingston Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve Cagle, Randy Bennett, Michael Herod, Jacob Kelly, Dakota Heath, and Alex Coker. Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Simmons and Jason Alexander.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the historical Barton Funeral Home, 115 South Main Street, Adairsville.
