IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Jane
Cannon
August 16, 1949 – January 9, 2026
Mrs. Mary Jane Sisler Cannon, age 76, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, in Rome, GA.
She was born August 16, 1949 in Hazleton, WV. Jane loved deeply and lived simply. Her greatest joy was her family, and her faith in God that guided her throughout her life. She found happiness in the quiet, meaningful things — making jams and jellies, tending to her garden, and quilting with care and patience. Everything she touched was done with love. Those who knew Jane will remember her as one of the kindest people they had ever met. She had a servant’s heart and a genuine willingness to help anyone in need, never expecting anything in return. Her gentle spirit and generous soul left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ron Cannon, and Sisters: Sharon Dodd, Patricia Miller, and Sandra Kalmar.
She is survived by her loving children: daughter, Kristi Brown; sons Nekia Cannon and Shane Cannon. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Hillary Rhodes, Zane Rhodes, Halle Rhodes, and Gracie Cannon, who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her sister, Brenda Yancy (David). Nephews: Justin Goss (Savannah) and Cody Goss. Several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2pm at Barton Funeral Home in Adairsville, Georgia with Pastor Gary Hibberts officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until 2:00PM, all Friends and Family are welcome.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing Jane is now at peace in God’s loving arms, reunited with her Savior and her beloved Ron. Her faith has become sight, and her love will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her. “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
