Mary Louise Garbutt Stutts of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on May 4, 2014, at the home of her daughter in Cartersville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlyle and Hattie Louise Pattillo Garbutt of Warrenton, Georgia, her husband, Hubert Paul Stutts of Dyersburg, Tennessee, her sister, Eugenia Bellamy, and her brothers William and Carlyle Garbutt.

Mrs. Stutts was born in Warrenton, GA, on November 28, 1917, and she worked as a registered nurse for 32 years.  She was graduated from the Georgia Baptist School of Nursing and served as an officer in the United States Army during World War II.

Mrs. Stutts is survived by her children Hubert Paul Stutts, Junior, (Paula) of Huntsville, Alabama, and Patricia Hoffman Daugherty, (John Robert) of Cartersville, Georgia; her grandchildren Kristin Hoffman Lee, (Dave) of Decatur, Georgia, Katherine Hoffman Flynt, (Nathan) of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Melanie Stutts Williams, (Scott) of Greenville, South Carolina, Kenneth Stutts, (Meg) of Franklin, Tennessee, and Whitney Hoffman Bennett, (Josh) of Decatur, Georgia. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Jackson Lee, Sawyer Lee, Sam Flynt, Bailey Williams, Palmer Williams, Graham Williams, Connor Stutts, and Harrison Bennett.

A "Celebration of Life" service will be held at Adairsville United Methodist Church, 102 South Main Street, Adairsville, GA, at 5:00 PM on Saturday, May 10, in the church sanctuary.  Meal to follow in the fellowship hall.  A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, TN, at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 17; pastor Wally Bumpas officiating.
