Mrs. Mary Leola Peterson Williamson, age 75, of 1281 Spring Place Road, Rydal, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at her daughters residence.

Mrs. Williamson was born in Briar, Missouri, March 24, 1935, daughter of the late Ralph and Pauline Roberson Peterson. She was a loving mother, and a doting Nanny who loved her many great-grandchildren, and animals. Mrs. Williamson loved traveling and was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lloyd Mayes Williamson.

Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Linda (Tommy) Baker of Adairsville and Debbie (Steven) Brown of Cartersville; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd (Vicki) Williamson, III. of Cartersville, Michael (Loretta) Williamson of Rydal and Terry (Betty) Williamson of Rome; 10 grandchildren, Natasha (Tom) Johnson, Thomas Baker, Jr., Brandi (Jason) Parker, Daniel (Tiffani) Taff, Lloyd Mayes (Jacille) Williamson, IV, Brittany (Burl) Dye, Trey (Ashley) Williamson, Terry (Debbie) Williamson, Mistye (Heath) Wilson, Cherish (Joseph) Pethal, and 17 great-grandchildren;2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Nettie (George) Moore and Donna (Bill) Thomas; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Max (Jan) Peterson and Bob (Helen) Peterson and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. David Baker, Rev. Bill Thomas, and Rev. Butch Cole officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Cartersville. Pallbearers will be Thomas Baker, Daniel Taff, Lloyd Mayes Williamson, IV, Trey Williamson, Dale Stiles, Burl Dye, and Terry Williamson, Jr. Tom Johnson and Jason Parker will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
