Mr. Melbourne "Luther" Marion Wade, age 79, of Cartersville passed away peacefully at Cartersville Medical Center, January 21, 2021. He was of the Holiness Faith.

He was born May 13, 1941, to Luther and Lilly Evans Wade. He was married to the late Betty Jo Silvers Wade and together they raised three sons. Mr. Wade was a painter in Bartow County for over 50 years. Melbourne enjoyed serving the Lord, reading his Bible, his family, gardening, hunting, fishing, and trapping.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Lilly Wade; wife, Betty Jo Silvers Wade; infant daughter, Linda Charlene Wade; brothers, Junior and James Wade; and sisters, Ann Smith, Eva Maxwell, Joyce Mathis, Katie White, and Margie Barrett.

He is survived by children, Darryl (Vicky) Wade, Douglas Wade, and Dennis (Adean) Wade; brother, LM Wade; sister, Betty Sligh; grandchildren, Samantha (Reid) Fincher, Brianna Wade, Dusty (Caitlin) Wade, and Sara Beth (Devin) Baum; great-grandchildren, Bentley and Madelyn Jo Fincher and Alyee Ray; several nieces and nephews.

A private family ceremony will be held at Wade Chapel Cemetery.
