Mrs. Melinda Wheeler Gaddis , age 80, of Rome passed away peacefully Sund ay, July 3 1, 2022, surrounded by loving family.

She was born in Rome , Georgia, October 27, 1941 , daughter of the late Floyd Ridley and Frances Jane Reed Ridley. She was also preceded in death by the father of her children, Jackie M. Wheeler; daughter, Sandra Lynn Wheeler; sisters, Emma Abernathy, Mary Harris, and Cornelia Meeks; and brothers, Donald Ridley and Harold Ridley. Melinda loved her family and spending time together. She retired from Sears and loved sweets.

Survivors include her daughter, Kim Wheeler Hill and husband Mark; sister s , Joan Harwell and Sara Horsley; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Wednes day, August 3 , 2022, at 12:00PM at Floyd Memory Gardens, Rome with Shane Hood officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Barnett, Steven Scales, Daniel Kerr, Ja ke Hill, Jackson Scales, and Jeremy Roberson.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Melinda Wheeler Gaddis.
