Mr. Melvin Howard Knight, age 79, passed away Monday, July 29, 2024, at Erlanger Medical Center. Melvin was born in Calhoun, Georgia on April 28, 1945, son of the late Ernest Franklin Knight and Alice Fuller Knight.

Survivors include his loving wife, Edith Knight; sons, Jeff Knight and wife Jana; grandsons, John Solomon, Eli, Jaxx and Jebb Knight; brothers and sisters, Alfred and Mabeline Knight, Shirlene Smith, Maxine McBee, Linda and Billy Brown; Betty Bolen, and Janie and Steve Thomas; special sister-in-law, Tina McClure and special niece, Lisa Hice; several nieces and nephews

Honoring Melvin's wishes he will be cremated. There will be a private family gathering held to honor his life.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
