Mr. Micah Shane McKinnon, age 43, of 64 Sam Sutton Road, Adairsville, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. McKinnon was born in Topeka, Kansas, April 7, 1969, son of William Dwight and Constance Sutton McKinnon. He was a member of NorthPointe Church, a graduate of Adairsville High School, attended Georgia Southern, and Dalton College. Mr. McKinnon had a passion for art and glass-blowing. Other interests included nursing and providing hospice care. Most of all he loved spending time with his daughters. He was preceded in death by his father William Dwight McKinnon, and his grandparents, Rex and Claire Sutton and Bryan and Laura McKinnon.
Survivors include two daughters, Murphie Rene McKinnon and Madison Lee McKinnon; mother, Constance Sutton McKinnon of Adairsville; a brother and sister-in-law, Lance (Georgia) McKinnon of Kennesaw; one niece and 3 nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Adairsville Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Rev. Louis Tonsmeire officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM. Ray Hancock, Winston Morrison, John McKinnon, Matt Smith, Scott Smith, Daniel Suttles, Drew Suttles, Andrew Greene, Kenneth Bunch, and Kevin Lewis will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
