Mr. Michael Curtis Morris, 70, of Kingston, passed away Friday, October 23, 2020, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Morris was born in Rome, GA, October 12, 1950, son of the late Robert Lee and Sybil Mae Jones Morris. He was of the baptist faith. Michael was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Norfolk Southern Railway. He enjoyed spending time with family, going hunting and fishing, and living a simple life. Michael was a dedicated husband, father, father-in-law, and pawpaw, proud veteran who loved his country, and hard worker. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Wyatt Green; sister, Helen Paige; and brother, Wendell Morris.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Janet Morris; children, Melissa Sutton, Mickey Morris, and Michelle and Davey Green; grandchildren, Morgan Sutton, Maddison Sutton, Kiley Morris, Trey Green, Drake and Michaela Green, and Memphis Green; brother, Buddy and Joann Morris and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Private graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton with military honors. Pallbearers include Mickey Morris, Davey Green, Trey Green, Drake Green, Memphis Green, and Jeremy Scott.
In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations be made in Michael's honor to psp.org to help find a cure for progressive supranuclear palsy.
