Mr. Michael Lynn Owens, know to everyone as Mike, age 60, of Calhoun, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026, at his residence.

Michael was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 18, 1965, son of Martha Hackney Owens and the late John D. Owens, JR. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Tracy Owens, niece, Tonya M. McDougle, and great-nephew, Jordan McDougle.

He is survived by his mother, Martha Owens; children, Brandon Owens, Brett Owens, and Brooke Owens; sisters, Joyce Findley (Randy) and Diane Owens; brother John Owens and several cousins, nieces and nephews survive.

Mike was a simple, hardworking man who took pride in his work. He spent much of his working life in road construction and as a truck driver. In his free time, he enjoyed the peace and quiet of being outdoors, especially when he was fishing. Mike was a man who appreciated the simple things in life and the time spent with the people who mattered most. He will be remembered as a loved father, son, brother, and friend, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebrations of Mike’s life will be announced at a later date.
