Mrs. Mildred Louise Hyde Evans, lovingly known as "Sister" to her family, age 85, of Rydal, went to her Heavenly home September 13, 2023.

Mrs. Evans was born in Kingston, Georgia, June 21, 1938, daughter of the late John D. Hyde and Pauline West Hyde. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy J. Evans and brothers, Jerry L. Hyde and Randall L. Hyde. She was of the Baptist faith and member of Glade Baptist Church for over 60 years. She retired from Nantucket Industries. Mildred was a loving sister and aunt and will be missed by all who loved her.

Survivors include her sister, Lillian Kilgore and husband Melvin; sister-in-law, Glenda Hyde; brother-in-law, Anthony Evans and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 18, 2023, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Hayes Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Hyde, Jordan Overby, Zachary Hyde, Scott Walker, Matthew Taylor, and Dylan Witt. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Amos, Stewart Taylor, Roy Overby and Daryl Bowman.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Mildred Louise Hyde Evans.
