Obituary
Mrs. Mildred Wynn Farris, 91, formerly of Adairsville, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Star Manor, Cartersville.
She was born in Atlanta, Ga, December 9, 1923, daughter of the late Walter Carl and Mamie Wynn. Mrs. Farris was of the Methodist faith and was retired from Georgia Power. She was an avid reader, enjoyed square dancing, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl L. Farris and 8 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Therese and Jimmy Darby of Adairsville; granddaughters, Kerri and Scott Helms of Canton and Kristi and Brian Barker of Gainesville; great-grandchildren, Austin and Ashlin Barker and Liam Helms; best friend, Betty Ross and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Friday, April 24, 2015 at 1:00 PM from Westview Cemetery, Atlanta with Minister Geoff Grubbs officiating. Family will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations can made in honor of Mrs. Farris to the American Cancer Society.
