Obituary
Mr. Milton Stanley Buttrum, age 89, of 683 Buttrum Road, NE, Adairsville passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Floyd Medical Center, Rome.
He was born in Rome, GA, March 10, 1922, son of the late Thomas Andrew and Martha Mae Self Buttrum. Mr. Buttrum was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Hall Station Congregation and had retired from Burlington Mills after over thirty years of service. He enjoyed reading the Bible and preaching It's message. Mr. Buttrum was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Blalock Buttrum.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rebeccah and Keith Roper of Franklin, NC; a son and daughter-in-law; Stanley and Alma Buttrum of Bear, DE; 2 grandaughters, Tautiana Buttrum of Tallahassee, FL and Leah (Rob) Freebern of Davenport, FL; one step-granddaughter, Akiskia Wimberly of Roanoke, VA; one step-grandson, Maurice Wimberly Wilmington, DE; 2 great-granddaughters, Allison and Lola Freebern of Davenport, FL; a sister, Geraldine Blalock of Dalton, GA; Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012, at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Adairsville.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, is in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Milton Stanley Buttrum.
