Mr. Monte Zuma Stansell, Jr died on January 30, 2021, in Calhoun, GA. He was born on February 18, 1928 to Monte Zuma Stansell, Sr and Ida Victoria Yarbrough Stansell in Armuchee Community of Floyd County, GA. He was one of ten children.

Monte was a member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church in Adairsville, GA. He really missed going to Church while we were having to stay home in the COVID pandemic. He was a Veteran, having served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1946 to 1951. He worked for thirty five years for Bahnson Service Company of Winston Salem, North Carolina. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.

Monte and Ann Tucker Moore were married on June 24, 1989. he was the step-dad to her children, paw-paw to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will miss him so much. He will also be missed by his two nephews, whom he loved dearly, Bruce Stansell and Ed Stansell. Thanks to Ciara for all the work she did, to our church family for their love and caring during this time, and to all our neighbors who have helped us so much. Monte's fishing buddy, Tom McDonald and Sarah from Valley, Alabama. Our new neighbors next door to us, Cathy and Chris Huff who helped Monte and me so much, Charles and Bootsy McClure, Dina and Jeff Manning, Peg Adcock, Nina and Katie, and Dooly and Family.

A Celebration of Monte's Life will be held at a later date.
