Mrs. Leila Moselle Harris, age 83, of Calhoun Health Care, Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Gordon Hospital.

She was born in Burlington, NC, on February 19, 1929, daughter of late James Hugh and Ella Lockmiller Johnson. A graduate of Meigs County High school in Decatur, TN, where she also played basketball. Mrs. Harris was a member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church and had worked for several years at Wellco Carpets. She was preceded in death by husbands, Ernest Edgar King in 1965, and Carl Edward Harris, Jr. in 1998.

Survivors include her 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Garry Moore of Cartersville, Jane and Dale Hogan of Adairsville, Melissa and Isidro Brito of Calhoun, Carla and Free Baugh of Albertville, AL ; 13 grandchildren, Angie Deboard, Scott Moore, Rusty Hogan, Nancy Parker, Misty West, Grey Kent, Daulton Kent, Sarah Kent, Miranda Brito, Aaron Brito, Andrew Wheeler, Carly Wheeler, and Cullen Baugh; 8 great-grandchildren, Lily Hogan, Spencer Hogan, Katy Hogan, Chloe Parker, Eli Parker, Savannah Moore, Morgan Deboard, and Bailey Deboard; a sister, Nancy Allen of New York and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 27, 2012, at 11:00 AM from Oothcalooga Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Rev. Gary Hibberts and Rev. Larry Hogan officiating. Interment will follow in Hayes Cemetery in the Folsom Community, Adairsville. Pallbearers include John Kent III, Daulton Kent, Grey Kent, Free Baugh, and Andrew Wheeler.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
