Mrs. Nancy Etta Patterson Womack, age 78, of 2410 Hall Station Road, NW, Adairsville, passed away Thursday morning, January 13, 2011, at her residence.
Mrs. Womack was born in Calhoun, Georgia, March 11, 1932, daughter of the late Wyley and Estelle Patterson. She was a member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church where she especially enjoyed spending time with the Senior Friends. She had retired from the Bartow County School System after over twenty years of service in the cafeteria. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Walter Patterson.
Survivors include her husband of 56 Years, Edward Lamar Womack of Adairsville; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Linda Womack of Calhoun;2 daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Annette and Larry Pasley of Adairsville and Janice and Ricky Witt of Adairsville; 10 grandchildren, Mark (Jammie) Chamlee, Dusty (Kim) Brown, Chad Witt, Cody Witt, Chris (Pennie) Davis, Tabitha (Jeff) Stanley, Brandon Autry, Ryan Autry, Adam Pasley, and Dale (Selena) Williams and 16 great-grandchildren;a brother, Norman Patterson of Calhoun; 2 sisters, Mildred Smith of Decatur and Annie Frances Poole of Powder Springs; 2 sisters-in-law, Margaret and Betty Patterson; and nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM from Oothcalooga Baptist Church, Adairsville with Rev. Gary Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Mark Chamlee, Dusty Brown, Cody Witt, Ryan Autry, Adam Pasley, and Jeff Stanley. The Oothcalooga Baptist Church Senior Friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Oothcalooga Baptist Church, Adairsville.
