Mrs. Nina Ruth Emmons, 73, of Adairsville passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at AdventHealth Gordon.
She was born in Murry Cross, Alabama, December 23, 1946, daughter of the late Neva Lucille Butler Gordon and John Gordon. She was a member of New Life Ministries Church, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Legion Auxiliary. Nina was a talented seamstress, phenomenal cook, and enjoyed to bake and decorate cakes. Most importantly she loved her family and everyone being together. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Donald Emmons; sons, Ron (Cindy) Emmons, Terry Emmons, Darrell (Polly) Emmons, and Stephen (Licia) Emmons; daughter, Donna Emmons; brothers, Bill (Joyce) Easterwood, Fred "Buddy" Gordon, and Harlan Gordon; sisters, Mary and Jackie Phillips and Wanda and Carl Hayes; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Following Covid19 guidelines with social distancing, funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Morrow and Rev. Audrey Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until the hour of the funeral. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Family will serve as pallbearers.
