Nixon Richard Sellers, Sr., age 68, of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born in Calhoun, March 27, 1951, son of the late M. Richard McConnell and Mattiline Cargile Sellers. Mr. Sellers was of the Christian faith and veteran of the United States Navy. Nixon enjoyed fishing, barbecuing with his family, and was known for his sense of humor. Mr. Sellers was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Al Sellers, Jr. and Jack Sellers; sisters, Betty Jean Richards, Lucy Sellers, and Essie May Ownes;

Survivors include his son, Nixon Sellers, Jr and his wife Jessica; daughters, Jillian Beasley and Chloe Sellers; mother of his children, Traci Beasley; grandchildren, Jason Wade, Makayla Wade, Brooklynn Sellers, Jachai, Giavonna, Jace, and Gage; brothers, Willie Carson, Curtis Carson, and Tim Carson; sisters, Julie Winters, Patty Birchfield, and Ester Diaz; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Nixon's Life will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.

In lieu of flowers donation can be made at United Community Bank in honor of Nixon Sellers.
