Ms. Norma Jean Harp Summey, age 61, of Acworth, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, December 12, 2021, surrounded by family and friends.

Norma was born in Marietta, Georgia August 1, 1960. Daughter of the late Waller "Curly" Harp and Melba Brown Harp. She was of the Baptist faith. She was free spirited and lived life to the fullest. She loved playing games and spending time with her family and friends. She loved people and was always willing to take someone under her wing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jackie Harp and Susan Jackson; and a great-niece, Lexi Rubio.

She is s urvived by her children, Israel Abernathy and Isaiah Abernathy; grandchildren, Eric (Cheyenne) Abernathy, Katie Abernathy, Austin Abernathy and Curtis Abernathy; great-grandson, Wyatt Abernathy and grand-dog, Gypsy ; sister s , Kathy Webster and Cindy (Clyde) Jeffers; brother, Al (Debbie) Harp ; sister # 7 , Linda Massey; special friends, Tracy Brewer, Razetta Bramlett Elrod, Kim Mohon, Kristy Cantrell, and Miranda Ray; several nieces, nephew s, and cousins .

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. David Baker officiating. Interment will follow in White Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00PM until 3:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Hammonds, Kenny Abernathy, Roscoe Silvers, Trey Matthews, Alan Massey, and Jade Massey.
