Obituary

Mrs. Olga Kisor Logan, age 93, formerly of Rome, was born January 28, 1927, daughter of the late Thomas and Mami Ledbetter Kisor. For nine decades she lived an extraordinary life of work ethic. Leaving the cotton fields in Northeast Alabama for the textile mills of Northwest Georgia, raising two children, along with her husband of thirty-four years, William Houston Logan, she never knew an idle day. After three decades at Celanese Manufacturing Mrs. Logan continued working until at age 83 health issues slowed her pace. She took her appearance seriously, always ready for a photo shoot, "dressed down casual" was not in her vocabulary! The last three years were not easy being bed ridden. Her body just couldn't keep up with her mind. Late February 12th she succumbed to dementia just in time to be reunited with her husband in Heaven for Valentine's Day. The family will be forever grateful to the staff of Gordon Health and Rehabilitation for the care and love you provided. We will never forget you. She was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Mami Kisor; husband, William Houston Logan; sisters, Dorothy (James Troy) Knighton and Paulene (Wesley) Latta; brother, C.P. (Hazel) Kisor.

Survivors include her children, Douglas and Sandra Logan, and Sherry and Stanley Pelfrey; grandchildren, Chris Logan, Zachary and Stacey Pelfrey, Isaac Logan, Olivia Logan, Elijah Pelfrey, Ella Pelfrey, Tyler Logan, Alyssa Logan, and Kensleigh Logan; and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service was held, Friday, February 14, 2020, at Oak Knoll Memorial Gardens, Rome.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Olga Logan.
