Mr. Paul Edward Barrett, Sr., age 69, of Cartersville, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Piedmont Cartersville Hospital.

Paul was born in the Rome, Georgia, January 17, 1955, son of the late Paul Henry Lewis and Gussie Mae Watters. He was preceded in death by his son Fredrick Tyrone Barrett; granddaughter, Elizabeth Barrett; and brother, Leroy Barrett. Paul was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was of the Baptist faith and served in United States Army for 18 years before retiring. He enjoyed watching football and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Connie Barrett; sons, Cedric Barrett, Paul Edward Barrett, Jr., and Anthony Monroe Barrett(Ashlie); grandchildren, Santreka, Shanequal, Sedricka, Amari, Armani, Amya, Tyrese, Tristan, Olivia, Cameron, Anthony, Jr., Lainey, and several great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Harris (F.K.);brother, Sammy Barrett; sister-in-law, Audie Barrett and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Pastor Robert Carson and Pastor Kenneth Benham officiating. Interment will follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery, Adairsville with military honors. Pallbearers will be Anthony Barrett, Lee Barrett, Calvin Barrett, Tony Harris, and Miguel Ashworth. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Eldridge and Roger Curtis.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
