Mrs. Phyllis Darlene Mulkey Findley, affectionately known as Robin, age 68, of Rydal, GA, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at her residence.
She was born in Cartersville, GA, on February 5, 1958, to Dora Marcelle Townsend Mulkey and the late William Columbus Mulkey. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Judy Jones.
Survivors include her loving husband, Jimmy Findley; mother, Marcelle Mulkey; son, Brandon Guthrie and wife Megan; daughter, Stacey Coker and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Brooklyn Guthrie, Kennedy Guthrie, Piper Guthrie, Effie Mae Guthrie, and Tristen Harrison (Daelen); sister, Beverly Holt; brothers, Andy Mulkey and wife Denise, and Randy Mulkey and wife Rhonda; several nieces and nephews.
Robin was a devoted member of Salacoa Baptist Church and a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and “Nana”. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and cherished spending time outdoors. One of her favorite pastimes was riding side-by-sides with her husband, Jimmy, creating countless memories together on adventures both near and far. She also enjoyed horseback riding and had a special love for animals, caring deeply for each one she welcomed into her life.
Those who knew Robin knew she never turned down a good iced coffee, a shopping trip to Belk, or the opportunity to add another pair of shoes or a beautiful pocketbook to her collection. She and Jimmy were known for their sweet tradition of wearing matching outfits, whether attending church or enjoying time together around town. Their love and companionship were evident to everyone who saw them. Robin loved the beach and treasured every opportunity to spend time by the water. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her family and delighted in making memories with all those she loved. She shared a particularly special bond with her nephew, “Cody-Man”.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Salacoa Baptist Church, with Rev. Travis Childers and Stanley Mulkey officiating.
