Obituary
Mr. Pope Moore, age 79, of Adairsville, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018, at his residence.
Mr. Moore was born December 1, 1938, in Kingston, Georgia, son of the late Harold Eugene Moore and Ruby Pope Moore. He was a member of Awtrey Westwood Baptist Church and attended Glade Road Baptist Church. Mr. Moore was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked from mills to truck driving and some may even remember Pope as "Jimmy Jarrett" from back in his wrestling days. In his later life he enjoyed to watch a good western or horror, but he most loved going to his favorite place, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald Moore, Neal Moore, Bryant Moore, and Albert Earl Stone; grandson, Shannon Moore.
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Wanda Moore; children, Donald Moore, Danny (Cheryl) Moore, Echo (James) Eckhart, and Joshua (Jessica) Moore; grandchildren, Heather (Jamie) Minor, Austin Moore, Romeo Tortorici, Stormy Garcia, Nikalas Shaw, Destiny Eckhart, and Jakob Eckhart; great-grandson, Montana Minor and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Pope's life will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 2:00 PM At Glade Road Baptist Church, Acworth with Rev. Chuck Smith officiating.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Pope Moore
