Mr. Ralph James Colston, Sr., age 72, of 92 Jarrett Loop, Adairsville, passed away Friday evening, October 5, 2012 at his residence.

He was born in Bartow County, GA, November 19, 1939, son of the late Cecil and Lillian Smith Colston. Mr. Colston was a veteran, having served with the U. S. Army and later retiring from the U. S. Air Force. He had attended New Life Ministries in Adairsville and retired from Lockheed as a research mechanic. He is preceded in death by a brother, Roy Colston, and a sister. Bobbie Colston.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce M. Colston: four sons, Kendell (Tammy) Sherwood of Adairsville, Chris (Tracy) Sherwood of Adairsville, Ralph James Colston, Jr. of Bethlehem, and Michael Colston of Adairsville; several grandchildren; a brother, Delano (Sheryl) Colston of Jasper; two sisters, Linda Bailey of Adairsville, and Dot Cash of Adairsville; nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at 12:00 PM from New Life Ministries, 311 N. Main Street, Adairsville. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville, with full military honors.

The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until 12:00PM at the church.
