Mr. George "Randy" Hazelwood, age 69, of Adairsville, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 23, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Rome, Georgia, September 2, 1952, son of the late Rev. Theodore Hazelwood and Alice Hight Hazelwood. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ted J. Hazelwood. Randy was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church. Well known in the Adairsville community he operated one of the last independently owned gas stations, K& H Station, you could pull up get your gas pumped, oil checked, and stick around for the good local gossip. Randy always had something witty to say with his keen sense of humor and a tender heart always willing to help others. In his family he was known as the favorite uncle, he was proud of that. He loved being with family and friends and the outdoors. Randy was a good man who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife, Stella Siniard Hazelwood; brothers, Bobby and Sherry Hazelwood and Steve and Rhonda Hazelwood; sister, Penny and Dowis Satterfield; sisters-in-law, Janet Hazelwood, Rhonda Smathers, and Nadine and Scotty Barton; brother-in-law, Marty Siniard and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held T ues day, July 26, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Dry Creek Baptist Church with Reverends' Jody Orton, Sam Adams, and Larry Towe officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00PM until 2:00PM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include Jon Hazelwood, Tab Hazelwood, Jeremy Hazelwood, Cole Hazelwood, Ramey Hazelwood, and D. J. Satterfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Shay Mitchell, Andy Blankenship, Lane Mitchell, and Cam Blankenship.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
