Ms. Rebecca C. Taylor, 70, of Rome, Georgia passed away peacefully Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Atrium Floyd Hospital.

She was born and raised in Decatur, GA, December 14, 1952, daughter of the late Anna Darling and Fite H. Casey, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Robyn Lynn Casey and Harriet Kathryn Casey, and special aunt and uncle, Lucille and John Dangler. She was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.

Becky was a 1970 graduate of Towers High School. Following high school, she received a degree in Secretarial Science from Dekalb College. She worked at Patty's Truck Stop, Adairsville for several years as their bookkeeper and later went to work for Anheuser Busch in Cartersville, in the production and quality departments, from where she later retired. She quickly found retirement was not for her, and went on to continue her education at Georgia North Western College where she received diplomas in the fields of business and pharmacy technology. Becky was extremely cunning and brutally witty, with knowledge on almost any subject and hilarious around the card table whether it be canasta or porker; everyone always wanted to be her partner. When she loved, she loved big, and you always felt it. After her mother's passing, she stepped in the matriarchal role, always bringing family and friends together for holiday, birthdays, and hosting in the most festive way possible. Many of these events lasted long into the night with coffee, cards, board games, stories, and raucous laughter. She was boisterously proud of her son and family, always bragging to anyone who listened. Her love extended past her family and friends on to countless pets, dogs, cats and even a goat, which she loved unconditionally. Becky will be dearly missed by everyone who loves her.

She is survived by many loving Family members

Honoring her wishes she will be cremated with a private family graveside service.
