Mrs. Retha Edwards Johnson, age 84, of Folsom Road, Adairsville, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013, at her residence.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Adairsville, June 16, 1928, daughter of the late Roscoe and Mae Sanders Edwards. She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and was a talented seamstress, who had a knack at fashioning crafts with her hands. She also enjoyed gardening and cherished taking care of her family. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cleveland "Junior" Johnson; a grandson, Brandon Moss; 2 sisters, Lois and Rachel; 2 brothers, Walter and Fred.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Tim Daniels of Cartersville; grandson, Garrin and Kimberleigh Daniels of Cartersville; 4 great-grandchildren, Joe Daniels, Gabe Daniels, Brookelynclaire Daniels, and Bethany Daniels, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Joe E. Edwards and Rev. Greg Free officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville, with Benny Mealer, Terry Edwards, Melvin Edwards, David Edwards, Jerry Edwards, and Dwight Edwards serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
