Mr. Robert Charles "R. C." King, of Adairsville passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020.

Mr. King was born in Adairsville, Georgia, October 21, 1934, son of the late Charlie Clifford King and Lillian Venus Holcomb King. Mr. King was a member of the Adairsville United Methodist Church and retired from Bartow County after 40 years of service. In his younger years he was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed tending to his garden, and loved being with his family. He was an amazing husband, father, paw-paw, and great-paw-paw. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Belle Ward King.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Elaine King of Adairsville; his daughters and sons-in-law, Rose and Danny Smith of Adairsville, Tina and Tony Smith of Adairsville, and Lynn and Randall Smith of Adairsville; his grandchildren, Mandy, Andy, Dana, Bobby, Candace, Naomi, Jeremiah, McKenzie, Amy, and Rachel; he was also blessed with 26 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Monday, July 27, 2020, at 6:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Les Connell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until the service begins.
