Mr. Robert "Bobby" Chandler, age 62, formerly of Adairsville passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

He was born in Rome, GA, August 26, 1954, son of the late Robert Cecil Chandler, Sr. and Thelma Peason Chandler. Mr. Chandler was of the Baptist faith and retired from the City of Adairsville. After retiring he enjoyed staying in South Carolina with his daughter Emily or being in Georgia with his grandchildren. He was a kind hearted and friendly person who never met a stranger. Mr. Chandler was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon Picot.

Survivors include his daughter, Emily Chandler of Spartanburg, SC; step-daughter, Mary Herring of Pine Log; grandchildren, Casey Herring and Kadence Allen of Pine Log; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Jim Pinkard officiating.   Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville. Pallbearers include Steve Worthington, Larry Pratt, Roger Fletcher, Jeff Thomas, John Clayton, Michael Fowler, Terry West, and Billy Worthington. Honorary pallbearers include, Russel Hopkins, Michael Edwards, David Edwards, Dwight Edward, Sammy Simmons, Randy Goforth, Tony Pratt, and Dwight Pratt.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Robert "Bobby" Chandler.
