Obituary
Mr. Robert "Bob" M. Fair, Sr., age 86, of Oak Grove Road, Adairsville, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017.
He was born in Oglethorpe County, GA on September 19, 1931, son of the late James Robert Fair and Thelma Nelson Fair. Mr. Fair was previously a member at Western Hills Baptist Church in Kennesaw. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during Korean Conflict. He retired from Lockheed Martin and was also a self-employed general contractor for many years. A licensed pilot, he enjoyed flying and was an avid gun collector. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Painter; grandchildren, Mitch Bennett, Sunny Pinkard, Blake Priest, and Landon Coker; sister, Johnnie Mae Hollaran and brother, John Richard Fair.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Sara "Pat" Fair of Adairsville; children, Robert "Robbin" Fair and his wife, Robyn of Adairsville and Debbie Williams of Adairsville; grandchildren, Angie (Jim) Pinkard, Chad DeLong, Stacey Fair, Jessica (Arron) Mantell, Coley (Kayla) Fair, Katy Fair, and Michelle (Brett) Coker; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Patterson of Blairsville and Peggy Martin of Cornelia; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 13, 2017 at 1:00 PM at NorthPointe Church, Adairsville, with the Rev. Tolbert Moore, Rev. Jim Pinkard, and Mr. Fred Painter officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be Coley Fair, Chad DeLong, Richard Hollaran, Kipp Champion, Jeff Patterson, John Fair, and Keith Scoggins.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
