Mr. Ronald Lee Edwards, Sr., age 64, of Towe Chapel Road, Adairsville, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Cartersville Medical Center.

He was born in Cartersville, Georgia, December 26, 1951, son of the late Paul Leon Edwards and Avil Nell McElrath Edwards. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, planting his garden, and raising his free range chickens. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Larry Leon Edwards and Fred Edwards.

Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Cynthia Edwards of Adairsville; children, Ronald Lee Edwards, Jr, of Athens, Sande C. Edwards of Lawrenceville and Beverly L. Edwards of Dunwoody; grandchildren, Daisee Davis and Alex Edwards; brothers, Paul Edwards of McDonough, Rev. Jack (Ann) Edwards of Taylorsville, and Henry (Glenda) Edwards of Adairsville; sisters, Jean Armstrong of Cartersville, Alice (Billy) Huggins of Adairsville, and Betty (Donnie) Cordle of Summerville; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

A celebration of Mr. Edwards's life will be held Monday evening, April 25, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
