Mr. Ronny Oliver Smith, age 70, of Rome, formerly of Adairsville passed away peacefully Friday morning, April 3, 2026, with his loving family at his side.

Ronny was born in Adairsville, Georgia, May 8, 1955, son of the late Lelar Robinson Smith Oliver Richard Smith. He was also preceded in death by his beloved daughter April Diane Smith; grandparents, Guy Oliver Smith and Ella Maude Smith and John Thomas Robinson and Nettar Gentry Robinson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Ann Smith and her sons, Stephen Pledger (Kayla) and Jacob Richardson; grandsons, Austin Smith (Hannah) and Corey Davis (Brandy); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Weldon Smith (Doris), Gary Smith Ivanete Smith Combs (Billy); Ella Smith Landrum and Ginger Smith Knight (Marc); special brother-in-law and friend, Jerry Headrick and several nieces and nephews.

Ronny spent the majority of his life working in construction and later retired from Bartow Paving after many years of hard work and dedication. He was a member of Snow Springs Baptist Church and a man who enjoyed the simple things in life. Ronny was a fan of NASCAR and loved spending time rebuilding tractors, a hobby that brought him great satisfaction. Above all else, he cherished his family and the time he spent with them. Ronny will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love for his family, and the many memories he leaves behind in the hearts of those who knew him.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Snow Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Parker officiating. Pallbearers include Austin Smith, Weldon Smith, Gary Smith, Dustin Knight, Miles Landrum and Billy Landrum.

The family requested no flowers.
