Obituary
Mr. Roy Galloway, age 82, of Dogwood Lane, Cartersville, passed away on October 4, 2018 at Cartersville Medical Center.
He was born in Calhoun, Georgia, March 16, 1936, son of the late Jack Galloway and Theny Ellenberg Galloway. A faithful christian who loved serving the Lord, Roy was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church, ordained minister, a Sunday school teacher, and member of The Gospelaires for many years. Along with his wife, they fostered children for over 20 years. He was an amazing husband and daddy. Roy was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Galloway.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-five years, Cathy Galloway; children, Connie Stielow, Susan Luker, Starlene Head, Jacquelynn Holderfield and Curtis Galloway; brother, J.T. and Delores Galloway; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; foster children, James Frampton and Brandon Stidem and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, Rev. Donnie Summey officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Roy Galloway.
