Mr. Roy Nix , age 77 , of Plainville passed away Saturd ay, March 11 , 2023, at his residence surrounded by the ones he loved.

Roy was born in Calhoun , Georgia on November 15 , 19 45 , son of the late Daniel Nix and Leona Hightower Nix . He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Nix and sister, Mary Jane Fortenberry. He loved Syb il , his children, and his grandchildren . Roy was a mechanic all his life, there wasn't a car he couldn't fix. He was always ready to go to Walmart for some oatmeal cream pies and a coke-cola. Roy loved wrestling, old model cars, banana pudding and playing Johnny Cash on his guitar. He was a great man.

Survivors include his wife, Sybil Nix; children, Tina Tims, Denise Charles (Eddy), Joyce Nix, Rayburn Nix, Sherry Sexton, and Kasey Fields (James); grandchildren, Destin e y Fields, Hunter Fields, Peyton Fields, Aaron Charles, Matt Charles, Tyler Sexton, Mich ae l Nix, Austin Tims, and An n sley Tims; caregiver, Judy Michelle Payne and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tues day, March 1 4 , 2023, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Wesley Hunt officiating . Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Church Cemetery, Fairmount. Pallbearers will be, James Fields, Hunter Fields, Eddy Charles, Rayburn Nix, Austin Tims, and Matt Charles.

The family will receive friends Tues day from 1 1 :00 A M until 3:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
