Mr. Roy Lee Phillips , 80 , of Adairsville , passed away Wednes day, July 20, 2022, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Adair sville, GA, May 24, 1942 , son of the late Maxwell Phillips, Sr. and Pearline McIntyre Phillips. Mr. Phillips was of the Christian faith. Roy was a lifelong chicken and cattle farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother s , Maxwell Phillips, Jr. and Johnny Phillips; and sister s , Linda Pratt and Geraldine Stone .

Survivors include his son, Gary Phillips; daughter, Carla Phillips; grandchildren, Logan Young and Casey Young; great-grandchildren, Wesley and Isabella Young; mother of his children, Faye Phillips; sister, Betty and Doug Harris; brothers, Charles and Barbara Phillips and David Phillips; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 25, 2022 , at 2 :00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home , Adairsville with R ev. Michael Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Haven of Rest Cemetery, Calhoun.

The family will receive friends Mon day from 12 :00 PM until 2 :00PM at Barton Funeral Home.
