Mr. Roy Dee Young, age 83, of Rydal, passed away Sunday morning, June 4, 2023, at Calhoun Health Care.

He was born in Pine Log, GA, April 28, 1940, son of the late Charles A. Young and Mamie Coggins Young. Mr. Young was also preceded in death by his brothers, Homer, Gene, Frank, Fred, Harley, Robert and Earl Dean Young.  Mr. Young was a member of Northside Methodist Church, Cartersville and retired from Dan Rivers. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and especially fishing.

Survivors include his brother, Harvey Young, sister, Bonnie Taylor and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 9, 2023, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Corey Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Stamp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Danny Young, Ricky Young, Ronald Young, Kenneth Taylor, Jamie Young, and Dallas Young will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
