Mrs. Ruby Nelson Hall, age 92, of Adairsville, passed away Thursday (October 17, 2013) at Gordon Healthcare.
Mrs. Hall was born in Rome, GA, September 1, 1921, daughter of the late John Henry Allen and Susie Proctor Allen. She was a member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church and Velva Teague's Women's Sunday school Class. She had retired from Mannington and enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Hall loved quilting and working out in her yard especially with her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fain Hall; a son, Jimmy Nelson; 2 sisters, Clara Pasley and Dorothy Ray.
Survivors include a son and daughters-in-law, Hoyt and Joan Nelson of Adairsville and Carol Nelson of Adairsville; 6 grandchildren, Sonya Womack, Stephanie Nelson, Susan Gowens, Sharon Viktora, Felicia Reynders, and Brian Nelson; 8 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013, at 1:00 PM at Oothcalooga Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Hibberts, Rev. Farril Ray, and Rev. Timothy Gowens officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. The body will lie in state at the church from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Pallbearers include Kent Womack, Brian Nelson, Brent Reynders, Ethan Cagle, John Miller, and Jeff Viktora.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
