Mrs. Ruth Esther Fuller Bass, age 99, of Adairsville, GA, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, September 7, 2025.

Ruth was born in Meriwether County, GA, December 5, 1925, to the late Marion Thomas Fuller, Sr., and Maggie Lee Cook Fuller. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Wilson Jasper Bass, sister, Mary Jane Heath, and brother, M. T. Fuller, Jr.

Ruth was the oldest member of the Bartow Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She had worked as a window inspector for the Bell Bomber plant and later as a salesclerk at Belk for numerous years. A loving mother and grandmother, Ruth's commitment to her family and her faith was evident in all aspects of her life.

Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Bass and his wife, Linda of Adairsville, and Keith Bass and his wife Melinda of Marietta; granddaughters, Chelsea Bass Janik and husband Joseph and Sarah Caitlin Ryan and her husband Nick; grandson, Wilson James "Wil" Bass; great-grandchildren, Brittain Thomas Janik, Turner Ryan, and Maggie Ryan; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 12:00PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Tony Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow in Cross Plains Christian Church Cemetery, 1356 Cross Plains Road, Carrollton, GA 30116 at 3:30PM. Pallbearers include Wil Bass, Joseph Janik, Evan Fuller, Jeff Pate, and Robby Pate.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00AM until 12:00PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.

The family wishes to thank Ruth's caretakers, Deborah Helton, Rose Bramblett, Joann Redd, Wendy Hunt, and Faye Bradley, for their loving care and compassion during her prolonged time of need.
