Mr. Sammy Harold Parker, Jr., age 42, of 464 Old Highway 41, NW, Adairsville, died Monday, August 20, 2012, at his parents' residence.

Mr. Parker was born in Rome, GA, April 12, 1970, son of Sammy Harold Parker, Sr. and Glenda Faye Hall Parker. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Cartersville, and enjoyed traveling and spending time at the beach. Mr. Parker was a very giving individual who cherished helping others, especially children.

Survivors include his parents, Sammy Harold and Glenda Faye Hall Parker, Sr., of Adairsville; a daughter, Kaeleigh Faye Parker of Adairsville; his paternal grandmother, Doris Genice Parker of Adairsville; 4 uncles, Scotty Parker of Adairsville, Delmas (Doreen Hollingsworth) Hall of Marietta, Gene (Pamela) Hall of Carrollton, and Jerry (Jean) Hall of Villa Rica; an aunt, Brenda Gail Dobbins of Douglasville; great aunts and numerous cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 23, 2012, at 2:00 PM from Oothcalooga Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Rev. Gary Hibberts officiating. The body will lie-in-state at the church from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
