Obituary
Mrs. Sandra Hicks Coker, age 58, of 113 Kuhlman Street, Adairsville, passed away Friday morning, October 19, 2018, after a brief illness.
She was born in Rome, Georgia, August 14, 1960, daughter of the late Emory and Lois Pasley Hicks. Mrs. Coker was a member and Sunday school teacher at Vision Baptist Church in Adairsville. She had been a licensed Master Cosmetologist since 1978 and proudly co-owned The Hair Depot in Adairsville since 2005. Mrs. Coker enjoyed the beach, traveling and especially spending time with her husband, children, and ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her loving husband of 37 years, Pastor Tommy Coker; children, Pastor Kyle (Keela) Coker, Alex (Holly) Coker, Mallory (Dennis) Mulkey, and Pastor Trent (Shyenne) Coker; and her precious grandchildren, Emory, Jude, Isla, Cade, Hudson, Coen, Levan, Stella, Macie and Melody
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Ministers Wes Gazaway and Justin Gazaway officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery, Calhoun. Pallbearers will be Brian Coker, Anson Coker, Travis Popham, Jerry Hicks, Jonah Duval, and Garrett Weaver. Honorary pallbearers include Cade Baker, Steve Jackson and Doug Cornwell, and John DeFoor.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM
at Barton Funeral Home.
