Sandra Lee DeSwarte, age 85, of Adairsville passed away on October 12, 2024. She was born August 17, 1939, in Germantown, Wisconsin, daughter of Fred Freiberg and Mamie Tietz Freiberg.

At a young age she met the love of her life, James Walter DeSwarte. They wed in 1957 and remained married over 60years. Sandra and James had three children. They were charter members of Trinity Community Church in Brown Deer, Wisconsin.

The women in Sandra's family would get together and make quilts. This was a hobby she continued to enjoy her entire life. She also enjoyed baking, gardening, playing bingo, and the Green Bay Packers. She made a career in purchasing for Blower Application Company.

Sandra and Jim enjoyed their retirement years in Adairsville, Georgia, a place they fell in love with, after visiting their younger daughter there for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Jim DeSwarte;  sisters, Marge Perrin and Judy Kontney; sons-in-law, John Rodriguez and Tony Gonzales.

Survivors include her loving children, Nancy and Eric Moriarty, Fred DeSwarte, and Christine Rodriguez; grandchildren, Bridgette, Hannah, Rebekah, and Daniel; sister, Sharon Plumber and several nieces and nephews.

Sandra's final resting place will be in Town of Milwaukee Union Cemetery in Glendale, Wisconsin with her beloved husband and many family members.
