Mrs. Sarah Louise Williams, age 79, of Cartersville went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday evening, February 8, 2024, with her loved ones at her side.

Sarah was born in Adairsville, GA, October 3, 1944, daughter of the late Rev. Waldon Felix Abernathy and Mattie Louise Freeman Abernathy. She was also preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Rev. Billy G. Williams; late husband, Bradley Lanham; son, Timothy Williams; daughter, Pamela Williams Baker; brothers, Lanier Abernathy and Dillard Eugene Abernathy; and sister, Ola Faye Sinard; Mrs. Williams was a faithful Christian and member of Stoner Chapel Baptist Church. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Sarah worked in the Adairsville Elementary School cafeteria for many years. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. Sarah will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Perry and Val Williams and Aaron and Jamie Williams; daughter, Amanda and Brett Davis; grandchildren, Hunter Williams, Ashton Williams Johnson (Thomas), Ansley Williams Hamby (Landon),  Amberia Casey, Cody Baker, Chloe Davis and Blane Davis; great-grandchildren, Addy and Evie Johnson, Quinley and Gentry Hamby, and Ellison and Emmett Dooley; sisters, Annelle Smith, and Hilda Parker Wilson; brother, Earl and Brenda Abernathy and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Dawna Jones and the staff at Highlands Senior Living for their excellent care and kindness they provided for Sarah.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM from Stoner Chapel Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Reverends Earl Abernathy, Stephen Moore, Landon Hamby and Thomas Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Sarah's nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Stoner Chapel Baptist Church, Adairsville.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Sarah Louise Williams.
