Mrs. Sarah Ellen Woodring, age 86, of Adairsville went to be with her Lord and Savior August 1, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Woodring was born in Ball Ground, Georgia, on October 29, 1936, daughter of the late Buford Willie Lee Williams and Mamie Jenkins Williams. She was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church and a faithful Christian. Sarah loved spending time with her son, granddaughters, and family. She had a sweet tooth as sweet as her soul. She enjoyed traveling, bird watching and watching her soap operas. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 53 years, Paul Leldon Woodring; brothers, Dixie Williams, Rev. Billy Williams, and Robert Williams; and sisters, Marie Noles and JoAnn Towe.

Survivors include her son, Scott Woodring (Susan Stalnaker); granddaughters, Graysen Woodring and Riley Woodring; sisters and brother, Janet Jarrett, Betty Teague, and Jimmy and Sarah Williams; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 2:00 PM from chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Jody Orton officiating. Interment will follow Snow Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Brett Jones, Jeremy Jones, Tony Hufstetler, Monty Teague, Brandon Jarrett, Blake Zacharko, and Billy Womack.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
