Mrs. Shelba Jean Adcock Edwards, age 83, of Folsom Road, Adairsville passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, at her residence.

She was born in the Whitfield County, GA, July 26, 1941, daughter of the late, Wilford M. Adcock and Maulene Kirby Adcock. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, James Melvin Edwards; beloved son, Steven Edwards; brothers, Walter Adcock and Michael Adcock; and sister, Donna Adcock Walraven. Shelba was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and was an excellent seamstress. Shelba loved her family, community and cats, she will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her son, Todd Edwards of Adairsville; grandchildren, Chesley Edwards and Chansea Edwards; great-grandson, Dario Adiel; brother, Charles Lamar Adcock (Mary Ann) of Cartersville; sisters-in-law, Peggy Adcock and Joy Adcock; brother-in-law, David Edwards; special friend, Sue Elrod and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Barry Adcock officiating. Interment will follow in the Hayes Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be Chesley Edwards, Scott Adcock, Derrick Edwards, Michael Edwards, Ravee Morrow, and Jeff Fletcher.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
