Obituary
Mrs. Shirley Ann Barton Cobb, age 79, formerly of 122 Cherry Street, Adairsville, passed away at Pruitt Health of Lafayette, October 29, 2016.
She was born in Bartow County, GA, February 18, 1937, daughter of the late Jess and Mattie Pruitt Barton. She was a member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed horseback riding, square dancing, country music, and especially spending time with family. Mrs. Cobb is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Teresa Rose Cobb; and three brothers, James, Troy, and Joe Barton.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews,
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Pinkard officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers include Chance Highfield, Jimmy Fletcher, Frankie Fletcher, Freddie Fletcher, Randy McClure and Ferrell Barton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at Barton Funeral Home.
