Mrs. Shirley Louann Pruitt, age 79, of Rocky Face passed away peacefully Monday, April 6, 2020 at her residence.

She was born on October 20, 1940 in Newport, KY to the late Matthew Morris and Clata Mae Fowler Morris. She was a member of Dewey Baptist Church of White and attended Mt. Vernon Methodist Church of Rocky Face. She was the most gracious, beautiful, and dignified soul to ever grace anyone's presence. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jim Dewberry, Tommy Dewberry, and Matthew "Buddy" Morris; sister, Allene Revell.

Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, Herbert Pruitt, Sr; children, Susan Smith and her husband Clipper, Herbert Pruitt, Jr and his wife, Glenda, and Holly Ridley and her husband, Mark; grandchildren, Scott Adams, Matthew Adams, Clipper Smith, Chad Johnson, Herb Pruitt III, Bradley Christopher Pruitt, Tommy Ridley, Jack Ridley, John Ridley, and Grace Ridley; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Biddy and several nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 federal, state, and local guidelines the family will have a celebration of Shirley's life at a later date.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Shirley Louann Pruitt.
