Mr. Steven Donavin Young, age 33, of Adairsville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, August 10, 2026, with his loved ones by his side, following a courageous battle with cancer. Steven was born in Calhoun, GA, August 25, 1992

He is survived by his loving wife, Janell Young; father, Stephen Young (April); mother, Amanda Young; brothers, Michael Hall (Jessica), Remington Steele (Kayla), Brandon Steele, Christopher Young, and Austin Carter; sister, Kaylee Pope; grandparents, Joyce Young and Sue Young; aunts and uncles, Joanie Young, James Young, Kenny Young, Jason Young, Keith Young, Melissa Baldwin, Tonya Ward, Barbara Ragland, and Burnan Hall; mother-in-law, Gladys Hall and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was preceded in by his brothers, Daniel Young and Kelly Young; grandparents, Francis Young, Molly Young, Randal Young and Mitchel Ross; step grandmother, Christine Hall; and father-in-law, Henry Hall.

Steven was a hardworking man who worked as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. A Christian, his faith was an important part of his life. He loved sports, especially basketball, and enjoyed sports betting. Steven was truly the life of the party—outgoing, fun-loving, and always ready to make those around him smile and laugh. He had a zest for life and loved making the most of every moment. Above all, Steven treasured his family and the people he loved. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 1:00PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, with Reverends Burnan Hall and Billy Murdock officiating. Interment will follow in Towes Chapel Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers will be Stephen Young, Michael Hall, Remington Steele, Brandon Steele, Michael Stewart, Frank Cudd and Adam Patrick.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Barton Funeral Home.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Steven Donavin Young.
