Mrs. Susan Allmon Baxter, age 62, of 101 Oak Hill Drive, White, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Kindred Hospital, Chattanooga, TN.

She was born in Rome, GA, on October 16, 1955, to the late John Henry and Mary Frances Brookshire Allmon. Mrs. Baxter was a member of Rush Chapel United Methodist Church and had been employed as a butcher at Kroger. She enjoyed gardening flowers, loved animals and was an avid fisher.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Maurice Baxter of White; son, Kevin Dobson of Kingston; stepson, Christopher Baxter of Newnan; a sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Mack Godfrey of Rome; a brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Joann Allmon of Rome; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Larry Russell officiating. Interment will follow in Rush Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Shannon.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00PM until 6:00PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
